Tajikistan and China are set to launch regular flights between the countries. Several airlines from the two countries will carry passengers, SMI 24 reports.
The first flight is scheduled for late December. The representatives of the Tajikairnavigation State Unitary Enterprise and the Civil Aviation Administration of China signed an agreement to launch flights. This document is the result of an agreement between the leaders of the two states.
Head of the Department of Development of the Tajikairnavigation Enterprise Bakhtiyor Sheraliev noted that a huge amount of work has been done to date. In particular, equipment and devices at the international airport have been upgraded. Furthermore, the parties signed many agreements both between and within the countries.
Currently, 4 flights between Tajikistan and China are operated each week. Somon Air resumed regular flights after the pandemic.
