On November 27, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United States and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev had a working meeting with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asian Affairs John Pommersheim, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports the details.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and developing new projects. Amanbaev informed the interlocutor about the changes that have taken place in Kyrgyzstan over the past three years. He paid special attention to the projects initiated by President of the Republic Sadyr Japarov.
The interlocutors discussed improving cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador requested that his American counterpart speed up the implementation of the previous agreements to increase tourist visa validity for Kyrgyz citizens up to 10 years.
Pommersheim promised to speed up this process, noting that his colleagues from the U.S. Department of State are working on this issue.
