On November 29, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang, the Turkmenistan: Today News Agency reported.
Ding Xuexiang arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 6th meeting of the Turkmenistan-China Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation. He conveyed the greetings from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The President and the member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China discussed the agenda of the meeting of the Turkmenistan-China Intergovernmental Committee. The interlocutors noted the dynamic development of cooperation at the highest, interministerial and inter-parliamentary levels, as well as among the regions of the two countries.
The interlocutors were unanimous that high-level talks and the implementation of high-level agreements play a special role in strengthening Turkmenistan-China partnerships.
The President of Turkmenistan and the Chinese government officials exchanged views on new options for political, diplomatic, energy, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
