Russia has supplied 371,000 tonnes of gasoline to Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported that a temporary ban on Russia’s gasoline exports was lifted, and the country received its first batches of fuel in November. The exports totalled 371,000 tonnes, Gazeta.uz reported.

Minister of Energy Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov made this statement during a government hour in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on November 22. He noted that all necessary measures are being taken to settle the situation with gasoline in the country.

Mirzamakhmudov emphasised that the temporary ban on Russia’s fuel exports had a negative impact on the overall situation in Uzbekistan. However, gasoline supplies from Russia have begun.

He said Uzbekistan has produced 1.16 million tonnes of gasoline by mid-November, and it is planned to increase gasoline production to 1.329 million tonnes by the end of the year.
