President of Turkmenistan receives Ambassador of Malaysia

On November 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Malaysia Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for promoting cooperation, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current state and possibilities for bolstering partnerships, focusing on the prospects for intensifying political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts.

Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction the successful development of friendly relations and the consistent enhancement of mutual political trust between Turkmenistan and Malaysia, highly evaluating the support and close cooperation between the two countries within international organisations.

“Speaking about bilateral relations, it is important to note that Turkmenistan-Malaysia trade and economic relations demonstrate positive dynamics. Cooperation in the oil and gas industry is successful,” the President said.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that cooperation in science, education and culture is an important component of bilateral relations. The President expressed belief that the countries will continue to foster interstate dialogue for the benefit of the two peoples.
