The Vector 4.0 education hackathon for schoolchildren is taking place at the Tashkent branch of A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University. This IT project aims to to disseminate and strengthen the position of the Russian language and education in the Russian language in Uzbekistan and promote Russian science and culture, the press office of the Russian House in Tashkent reports the details.
The qualifying round, in which schoolchildren from all the regions of Uzbekistan participated, was completed in October. The public and private school teams have submitted over 150 applications. Of them, 20 teams were selected to advance to the head-to-head round.
From November 10 to 12, the selected teams will hone their programming skills under the guidance of tutors from the Kazan Federal University. They will create one of four career guidance products: a computer game, a website, an online course or a telegram bot.
The hackathon gives participants an opportunity not only to communicate with schoolchildren from different regions of Uzbekistan, but also to learn about Russian culture and Russian education.
