Gazprom and Kazakhstan sign strategic cooperation agreement

Gazprom is planning to supply 3 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Kazakhstan. This became known following bilateral talks between Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Alexey Miller and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, TASS reports.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The talks resulted in signing a document on Kazakhstan-Gazprom cooperation.

«Alexey Miller and Roman Sklyar signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The document is aimed at promoting cooperation in supply, transportation and processing, geological exploration and production,» the press office of Gazprom reports.

Miller and Sklyar discussed in detail the progress and prospects of cooperation in the gas sector.

In January 2023, Gazprom and the Government of Kazakhstan adopted a bilateral roadmap aimed at bolstering cooperation in the gas industry.
