President of France Emmanuel Macron arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit and took part in the Uzbekistan-France business forum in Samarkand. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended this large-scale event, the press office of the President of the Republic reported to CentralAsia.news.
In his speech, Mirziyoyev noted the positive dynamics of the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and France. He emphasised that bilateral trade between the two countries has increased threefold, and the number of joint ventures has increased fourfold.
The President of Uzbekistan added that the enhancement of trade cooperation between the countries meets the interests of the two states. He emphasised that he had held fruitful talks with Macron, which gave impetus to strategic partnerships. Furthermore, Paris and Tashkent will encourage expanding bilateral trade and boosting investment activities of French companies in Uzbekistan.
