The Commission on Cooperation between the Federation Council and the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan held a meeting in Dushanbe. The Russian and Tajik parliamentarians discussed the necessary steps to implement the agreements reached at the high level and between the Governments of the two countries, the Telegram channel of the Committee on Budget and Financial Markets of the Federation Council reports.
Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Nikolai Zhuravlev emphasised the importance of identifying priorities for cooperation at the legislative level and additional measures necessary to implement them.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agricultural and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council Sergei Mitin noted that Russia and Tajikistan are expanding cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
Mitin highlighted the need to strengthen legal and technical regulation of the agricultural and food market and strengthen interdepartmental and interstate cooperation.
