Kazakhstan imports jet fuel from Russia

Minister of Energy of the Republic Almasadam Satkaliev answered a question about the jet fuel shortage in Kazakhstan during a briefing, Sputnik Kazakhstan quotes the Minister’s statement at the press conference with journalists.

Satkaliev said that there are no risks for aviation fuel supplies, as Kazakhstan imports fuel from neighbouring countries. The main supplies come from Russia. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic, the domestic market needs about 300,000 tonnes. Almasadam Satkaliev clarified that this shortage is seasonal.

One of the Chinese airlines has announced its intention to supply fuel to Kazakhstan, however there is no information about the completion of talks. Satkaliev said Kazakhstan is in talks with Russia on gasification of the northeastern regions of the Republic.

As was reported, rural areas in Kazakhstan should get access to high-speed Internet until 2027 as part of the national project.
