On October 25, the XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023» (OGT-2023) opened in Ashgabat. The event brought together representatives of more than 170 foreign energy companies, 8 international banks and 24 media entities, SNG.Today portal reported.
The issues under discussion include the attraction of investment in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, the development of one of the world’s largest gas fields Galkynysh, the development of energy markets and the transition to green energy.
The event has caused a major stir among specialised agencies, financial institutions, research institutions, diplomatic missions, international organisations and news agencies.
The exhibition, which is running in parallel with the conference, showcases the latest achievements of the domestic and global oil and gas industry.
As was reported, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of OGT-2023 and expressed belief that the forum would give Turkmen specialists an excellent opportunity to showcase their potential and expand partnerships.
The forum and exhibition will work until October 27.
