Schools and libraries in Kyrgyzstan receive books about Russian writers

The Towards Unity! Moscow Publishing House donated a 12-volume collection of books about the 19th-20th-century Russian writers to the National Library of Kyrgyzstan as part of the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS, Sputnik reported the details.

This is an important cultural and spiritual event for the country. The books contain the materials about the geniuses of Russian literature: Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Lomonosov, Dostoevsky, Akhmatova, Tyutchev, Krylov, Sholokhov, Shukshin and Rubtsov. President of the Foundation of Spiritual Unity of Nations Valery Alekseev said the books were donated to the libraries in cities, villages and educational institutions throughout Kyrgyzstan.

The representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic, the Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, the heads of the National Library and representatives of the RF Embassy and Rossotrudnichestvo attended the event. Kyrgyz artists and artistic groups performed in a concert for the guests.
