On October 14, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants of the international film festival «Dawn of Arkadag». Representatives of Central Asian countries, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and France took part in the event. This was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan: Today».
Serdar Berdimuhamedov believes that the festival will become a large-scale event in the history of relations between the Central Asian states. According to him, movies are a bridge of peace and friendship.
The president noted that Turkmenistan is the land of famous Seljuk sultans. The leader of the country underlined that the movies of the «Turkmenfilm» Association named after Oguzhan succeeded at international festivals. The state creates the necessary conditions for the development of the industry. Serdar Berdimuhamedov added that the event aims to strengthen cooperation in the cinema and introduce Arkadag city to the world community.
The festival will finish on October 15. French actors Édouard Montoute and Samy Naceri («Taxi»), Turkish actor Burak Özçivit (TV series «Magnificent Century», «Establishment: Osman», «Lovebird» and «Bittersoet») take part in the event.
