On October 13, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the head of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek. They expressed readiness to take measures to increase trade turnover between the republics. This was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the president of Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov emphasized that Bishkek is interested in implementing new trade, investment and logistics projects together with Ashgabat.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a satisfactory assessment of the growth in trade turnover. He stated that Turkmenistan is ready to find new opportunities to strengthen trade partnership.
The presidents also discussed cooperation in the energy industry and the agenda of the meeting of CIS Heads of State Council. The Turkmen leader pointed out the importance of the signed documents for deepening interstate cooperation.
