On October 11, the international science conference on the legacy of universal value of the outstanding thinker and healer of the East Abu Ali ibn Sina started its work in Ashgabat. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated its participants, the Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.
Berdimuhamedov noted that 12 years of the life of Abu Ali ibn Sina are closely linked with the history of the Turkmen people. During this period, the scientist made scientific discoveries and created unique works in the cities of Urgench, Merv, Bavert and Nisa.
The President noted that the name was immortalized, and a monument to this outstanding thinker was erected in Ylham Park in Ashgabat. Thanks to the initiative of the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Abu Ali ibn Sina’s Canon of Medicine was published in Turkmenistan.
«I believe that the international science conference will be of great importance in the theoretical and practical studies of the valuable legacy of Abu Ali ibn Sina, who earned high respect and love of the peoples of the world both in the past and in the present, as well as in the further development of cooperation in this area,» Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised.
