On October 9, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State International Exhibition and Science Conference on the start of its work. The President noted that the events are held to mark the professional holiday of healthcare workers, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the health of citizens of the country, their happy and prosperous life are the state policy priorities. Turkmenistan successfully implements the healthcare modernisation programmes and creates conditions conducive to providing affordable and high-quality medical services to the people.
The President emphasised that Turkmenistan takes consistent measures to improve the education sector through adopting scientific advances and innovative teaching methods. Kindergartens, schools and higher education institutions that meet international standards are built throughout the country.
The President focused on the growing popularity of physical activity and sports in the country. Berdimuhamedov said modern sports complexes stuffed with state-of-the-art equipment were built in the shortest possible time in the capital city and regions of Turkmenistan, noting that they enable Turkmenistan to stage and host international sport competitions.
