Uzbekistan to start producing Russian electric cars

Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach said the Russian Kama company may start assembling Atom electric cars in Uzbekistan, Podrobno.uz reports.

«I first saw this car in Kazan. It was a discovery for me how breakthrough and high-quality this electric car turned out to be,» Dmitry Volvach shared impression of the Russian car.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Uzbek partners are seeking to launch a large-component assembly of Atom cars and localize car production in Uzbekistan.

As was reported, the Russian company has received more than 36 pre-orders for electric cars.

The Kama company designed an Atom car. The company was founded by Kamaz Director General Sergey Kogogin.
