President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during his visit to Russia. The talks focused on the prospects of cooperation and a number of joint projects, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors discussed key aspects of interaction between the Republic and Tatarstan in the information and communication sector. President Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the positive results of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years. He noted that bilateral trade and investment between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan has increased significantly.
The important projects discussed at the meeting included the construction of new industrial parks in the regions of Uzbekistan. These are the projects approved at the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation, which took place in Kazan the day before. These projects will be implemented jointly with the Russian Technology Parks — Master and Alabuga. The talks also focused on expanding cooperation in education, tourism and information technology.
