Russia set to supply new trains for Tashkent metro

Uzbekistan and Russia concluded important agreements at the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation in Kazan. The key outcomes include the agreement on the supply of Russian trains for the Tashkent metro, Podrobno.uz reported.

The documents are aimed at implementing joint projects, in particular modernizing the water supply system and boosting the presence of Russian Wildberries and Ozon online stores in the Uzbek market.

The parties signed a memorandum on cooperation in the information technology sector, the creation of an independent ecosystem, the exchange of international practices and joint integration with international markets. The IT Park Technology Park of Russia and the Directorate of the Technology Park of Software Products and Information Technologies of Uzbekistan signed an agreement.

Addressing the forum, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev emphasised that bilateral cooperation is developing successfully in various sectors, including the mechanical engineering, chemical, fuel and energy industries.
