Uzbek filmmakers have participated in “Cinema in 5 Days” competition for young film directors

The winners of the «Cinema in 5 Days» competition for young film directors of XV Tashkent International Film Festival were announced. Dilshod Usmanov won the Best National Short Film Award for his film «Uzum» (Grapes), Nuz.uz reported.

Following the tradition, the participants spent five days travelling to the ancient cities and attractions in Uzbekistan. The filmmakers visited Samarkand, Khorezm, Tashkent, Bukhara and Fergana, where they made their short films. Other award-winning films are «Omonat» (Trust) by Nuria Safarova and «Uzbekiston Mening Orzum» (Uzbekistan — My Dream) by Hilola Abdurasulova.

The organisers of the competition did not limit themselves to Uzbek filmmakers; they invited young talented film directors from other countries. Filmmakers from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan won prizes in their categories.
