The 3rd meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat on September 30. Deputies unanimously adopted a number of new laws relating to the establishment of the medal and the development of investment and transport cooperation. This was reported by the electronic newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden Age».
The republic will establish the «Arkadag» medal. It will be awarded to citizens and foreigners who have contributed to the development of social, public, charitable, volunteer activities, and the arrangement of medical and financial assistance to orphans.
The Mejlis ratified agreements on promotion and protection of investments from Qatar and Hungary. Parliament adopted laws on accession to the conventions on early notification of a nuclear accident and assistance in a related situation. In addition, the deputies approved a draft law on the accession to the agreements on the establishment of the International Anti-Corruption Academy and the development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor.
The Mejlis ratified amendments and additions to the customs code, laws on state awards, courts and currency regulation of foreign economic relations.
