Foreign ministers of Central Asian states gather in Dushanbe

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin led the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the Central Asian states in Dushanbe. The participants unanimously highlighted the need for interaction to boost joint development of the «brotherly» nations, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported the details to CentralAsia.news.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan stated that the Central Asian states are ready for open and broad cooperation to ensure peace, stability and security in the region. He emphasised that the countries of the region are promoting joint initiatives aimed at solving current problems.

Mukhriddin thanked the countries of the region for supporting Tajikistan during its chairmanship in the Consultation Mechanism Meeting in 2022-2023 and cited as an example 16 side events, which were held as part of the summit in Dushanbe.

The press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasised that the participants of the Meeting «were unanimous» that continued and interested cooperation on pressing issues will allow achieving long-term joint development goals of the «brotherly» nations of Central Asia.
