President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with LY iTECH Chairman Fang Qin Zeng and HGTECH Co. Ltd Chairman Ma Xinqiang, the Telegram channel of the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev was informed about the activities of these major high-tech companies in China that manufacture components for consumer electronics, cars and smartphones. The top managers of the Chinese companies told the President about their developments and innovative technologies.
The parties also discussed more pressing issues for Kazakhstan. For example, these included the prospects for implementing joint investment projects and ensuring stable supplies of rare metals from Kazakhstan, which are used to manufacture components and laser equipment in China. They also focused on enhancing the innovative potential of Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, Tokayev emphasised that Kazakhstan and China are strategic partners under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
