President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with the representatives of Kazakhstan’s business community at the Akorda residence, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports in the Telegram channel.
In his speech, the President focused on new approaches to economic development, proposed in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan. Tokayev highlighted the need to provide maximum support to private business initiatives. The President emphasised that a qualitative breakthrough is needed to encourage entrepreneurship, which necessitates building new state-business relations.
The President invited to conclude a new «social contract» between the state and entrepreneurs. He emphasised that state-business relations should be built on mutual trust, and the state apparatus should not consider every businessman as a potential violator of the law. Noting that the state must help entrepreneurs, he called on entrepreneurs to become equal partners of the state apparatus, but not complainants and petitioners.
