Street in Astana to be named after ancient Turkey

President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan held a meeting in Kazakhstan. The two countries continue to step up investment cooperation, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported the details in the Telegram channel.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic and emphasised that the country has made enormous progress in a wide variety of areas and gained authority in the international arena during this period. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev ordered one of the streets in the capital city of Kazakhstan be named after Anadoly to commemorate the anniversary. 

It was noted that Turkey is the most important strategic partner of Kazakhstan, and the parties agreed to increase bilateral trade to $10 billion.

President Tokayev assured that the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey are intensifying investment cooperation. Turkey is among the top ten investors in Kazakhstan, and this cooperation holds great prospects.
