The official greeting ceremony of President of Albania Bajram Begaj, who arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan for an official visit, took place at the residence of the President of Kazakhstan. The ceremony began with a welcoming report from the head of the Guard of Honour and the State Anthems of the two countries, the official Telegram channel of Akorda reported.
The parties held talks in a narrow format after President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and President of Albania Bajram Begaj introduced the official delegations.
«This is the first ever visit of the President of Albania to Kazakhstan. This visit is tremendously important for promoting bilateral cooperation. Kazakhstan is seeking to establish closer relations with your country,» Tokayev said, noting that the first ever visit of the Albanian delegation to Kazakhstan took place a couple of weeks before the third anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries.
The President of Albania expressed gratitude to the leader of the Republic of Kazakhstan for inviting to visit Astana and extending hospitality. Bajram Begaj invited Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to visit Albania and noted that the countries «are to work even harder» to find new opportunities for international economic cooperation.
