Turkmenistan to expand cooperation with University of Tsukuba

The leader of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the University of Tsukuba (Japan) Kyosuke Nagata. The parties discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between higher educational institutions of the countries. This was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan: Today».

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the fruitfulness of the partnership between the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmamed Azadi and the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan with the University of Tsukuba.

The parties stressed the importance of developing cooperation in preparing specialists, exchange of experience and involvement of Japanese specialists in the work at Turkmen universities.

The president noted that young people from Turkmenistan study at higher educational institutions of Japan. Students of the republic learn Japanese. Kyosuke Nagata underlined that the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov contributed to the development of scientific and educational partnership between the countries. He recalled that the politician is an Honorary Doctor of the University of Tsukuba.
