President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a letter to the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The leader of the republic invited the politician to take part in the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. This was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan: Today».
The event will take place in Dushanbe on September 14, 2023. Emomali Rahmon stressed that the summit will strengthen regional partnerships, as well as security and stability in the Central Asian countries.
The president thanked the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty for the warm welcome during the first trilateral meeting of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in Ashgabat in August. According to him, during the summit, the presidents discussed important issues of cooperation.
The Third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia took place in the «Avaza» tourist zone on August 6, 2021. Chairman of the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan Yuri Aronsky noted that the leaders of the republics considered aspects of partnership in economy, trade, transport, energy and ecology.
