A mobile application, which will significantly simplify the work of carriers, was launched in Kyrgyzstan. According to MIR 24, now customs duties can be paid anywhere where there is access to the internet. Previously, truck drivers used to pay customs duties at box offices. The new payment system was developed as part of the customs digitalization programme.
Those willing to use the new service need to download a RSK 24 mobile application that has Customs Duties Section. Spokeswoman for the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan Gulzada Chubakova noted that this application is very convenient when clients must make additional customs payments, or an exchange rate is floating.
A broker Urmat Ramazanov noted that previously, drivers used to queue at the checkout, and if the checkout closed, they had to go elsewhere to pay. It took them a long time. The new mobile application allows them to decide everything on the spot without having to go anywhere. More than 200 carriers have downloaded this application and paid more than 8 million soms (about 8.5 million rubbles) in customs duties.
