President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban during his working visit to Budapest. The talks focused on key aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Hungary strategic partnerships and deepening cooperation in various fields, the press office of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Viktor Orban noted the fruitful visit of Sadyr Japarov to Hungary in February this year, which was an important step to promote bilateral relations. He also expressed gratitude for taking efforts to build up cooperation between the two countries, despite the geographical remoteness.
The key issues under discussion included the launch of a direct flight between the capital cities of the two states. They also discussed cooperation in education, particularly in the context of the study of Kyrgyz students at major universities in Hungary.
Sadyr Japarov emphasised the priority of promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation with Hungary. In the first five months of the year, bilateral trade saw a positive trend. The interlocutor expressed their intention to maintain and boost the dynamics.
