On August 17, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a working meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu in Tashkent. The interlocutors considered further enhancing cooperation between the two states, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors highlighted the need to intensify political contacts between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. President Mirziyoyev highly evaluated the level of cooperation between the two countries achieved in recent years. He noted the successful contacts between the parliaments and governments of the two countries. The emphasis was placed on the active interaction between regional authorities, public organisations and entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The President also highlighted the need to promote political cooperation between the two countries. He also noted steady growth in trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in recent years.
