Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev made a working visit to Baku, where he held meetings with Azerbaijani partners. The delegation represented more than 40 transport and logistics organisations, including the Aktau Commercial Sea Port and Kazakhstan Railways, among others.
Karabayev met with Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev. The interlocutor discussed cargo transportation and logistics development along the Middle Corridor, expressing mutual interest in deepening partnerships. They also discussed the capacities of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
The Kazakh delegation visited several facilities, including the Alyat Baku International Trade Port, the Hovsan Port, the Bash-Alat railway station, the Baku Shipyard, the Absheron Logistics Centre and the Baku railway station. The visit was aimed at establishing closer cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the transport and logistics sectors.
