President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated builders of the Republic on their professional holiday. In his official message, the President noted that the construction volume in Uzbekistan increased significantly last year, reaching 131 trillion soums, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
It should be noted that the situation was different in 2016 — the construction volume in the Republic did not exceed 30 trillion soums. The President said such a sharp increase shows that builders of Uzbekistan have moved forward along an impressive path in a short time. In the first half of the year, the construction volume reached 68 trillion soums.
Mirziyoyev emphasised not only the increased volume of construction, but also the significant work done to build and improve roads and engineering and communication infrastructures in more than 1,500 villages throughout the country in recent years. The Uzbek leader noted that this large-scale work meets the needs of the people and continues for several years.
