On August 8, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met with the Ambassador of the Netherlands Andre Carstens, who is completing his mission in Ashgabat. Vepa Hajiyev thanked the head of the diplomatic mission for his contribution to the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the Netherlands. The officials exchanged views about the possibility of developing relations in the field of trade, economy, energy, ecology, agriculture, culture, science and education.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of the Netherlands also discussed further cooperation within the framework of international organizations. Andre Carstens thanked the Turkmen authorities for supporting his work.
The previous meeting of officials took place in February this year. They considered issues of partnership within the European Union. Vepa Hajiyev underlined the importance of increasing the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Netherlands. He proposed to create a business council or a working group in the field of business and trade.
