The growth of industrial enterprises and permanent jobs surged in Tajikistan in the first half of 2023. This information was confirmed by Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Sherali Kabir, Sputnik reports.
According to him, manufacturing profits increased by 10.3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 20.7 billion somoni in 6 months.
Sherali Kabir noted that it is planned to increase this figure to 47 billion somoni by the end of 2023. This is one of the best results in terms of industrial growth in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)
Since the beginning of the year, 489 industrial enterprises have been opened, providing 2,400 new jobs. The Minister of Industry and New Technologies noted that 141 enterprises were opened in Dushanbe, providing 568 jobs.
As was reported, the Chairman of Sughd Region reviewed the progress of construction on plants and factories dedicated to the 35th anniversary of independence of Tajikistan during his working trip. It is planned to build another 740 facilities in the region.
