Aziz Voitov proposes setting up Uzbekistan-Armenia agricultural working group

Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov and Minister of Economy of Armenia Vagan Kerobyan held a meeting, at which an initiative to set up an Armenia-Uzbekistan working group to monitor the status of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector was put forward, the press office Government of the Republic reported to the CentralAsia/News Radio.

The parties discussed key aspects of cooperation in various fields and expressed their intention to use the full potential of the agricultural sector. Minister Voitov noted that currently Uzbekistan is one of the largest agricultural exporters. Despite this, agricultural trade between Uzbekistan and Armenia has not yet reached the desired levels.

The initiative to set up an Uzbekistan-Armenia working group, which will serve as a permanent platform for discussing current aspects of bilateral partnership, was put forward. This proposal aims to bolster agricultural cooperation between the two countries and ensure sustainable growth in this sector. The initiative implies the establishment of strong ties and the exchange of experience to keep up with the times and fulfil joint tasks in the agricultural sector.
