Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with a delegation from China headed by Chen Gang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Qinghai Province. They considered the main directions for the development of strategic cooperation between the countries. This was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
Rashid Meredov noted the importance of contacts between presidents. The minister of foreign affairs confirmed the effectiveness of interaction between the parliaments and political parties of Turkmenistan and China.
The participants of the meeting underlined the fruitfulness of the partnership between the two countries within the framework of the United Nations and the dialogue «Central Asia — China». The officials emphasized the growth of trade turnover and noted that the states are interested in diversifying cooperation.
Rashid Meredov and Chen Gang agreed that Turkmenistan and China have achieved effective partnerships in education, science and culture.
