President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov inspected the progress of construction work on a new building of A. Myrsabekov Osh State Pedagogical University during his working trip to Osh and Osh Region, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The construction of the five-storey building began in November 2021 and has made significant progress since then. The new educational institution has a total area of 3,600 square metres. It will include 54 classrooms, a library, a canteen, a conference room and a computer class. Particular attention is paid to access of people with disabilities and the elderly to the building: it has ramps and an elevator.
The new university building will be used to teach pedagogical disciplines only to students from Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh Regions. President Japarov stressed the importance of the profession of a teacher and instructed to complete construction by the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Sadyr Japarov expressed hope that highly qualified teachers capable of passing on valuable knowledge to the next generation would graduate from this university.
