The delegation of Turkmenistan paid an official visit to South Korea. The relevant representatives held talks with local officials and businessmen. They considered the issues of further strengthening of economic partnership. This was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The delegation first met with government officials, including Prime Minister of South Korea Han Duck-soo. The participants noted the importance of increasing trade turnover between the states.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to strengthen interstate ties in the fuel and energy complex, chemical and textile industries, as well as in the transport and agricultural sectors. The delegation noted that South Korean companies take an active part in the implementation of economic projects in the territory of the Central Asian country.
In 2023, Ashgabat will host the sixteenth «Central Asia — Republic of Korea» Cooperation Forum. In the framework of the previous meeting, Turkmenistan supported the solidarity of the relevant countries in maintaining peace and security.
