President of Uzbekistan proposes concept of Agreement on Friendship with Arab states

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the historic summit, which brought together the leaders of the Central Asian states and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. This event, which was held for the first time, aimed to boost cooperation between the regions. Addressing the Summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward a proposal to develop an agreement on friendship, regional connectivity and cooperation, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The participants discussed measures to foster political dialogue, strengthen trade and economic relations and expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation. They also exchanged views on issues of regional and international politics.

Speaking at the Summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed the importance of cooperation among the Arab states of the Gulf and the Central Asian states to ensure peace and stability. He noted the success of partnerships between the regions and proposed the development of an agreement on friendship, regional connectivity and cooperation to strengthen friendly ties among peoples.
