Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Transport spends record amount on special vehicles

On July 17, the fleet of the Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan received new special vehicles, MIR 24 reports. This is the first time that the fleet of the country was renewed at such a large scale. The new vehicles are designed for use on the mountainous terrain of the Republic.

265 vehicles were purchased on lease. These include wheeled diggers, dump trucks, loaders, tractors, road rollers, motor graders and bulldozers. Initially, 30% of the total amount was paid, and the remaining 70% will be paid over 3 years. «The vehicles are supplied by a Chinese factory,» Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Tekebayev said.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov positively evaluated the new vehicles. He stressed that special attention will be paid to improving and building roads in the country. In 2023, a record 5 billion soms, that is, approximately 5 billion roubles, have been allocated from the budget to purchase special vehicles.
