Tajikistan invites Russia to create joint industrial zones

Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir invited the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to create joint industrial zones, CentralAsia.news reports referring to the press office of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.

This proposal was put forward during a ministerial meeting at the Innoprom-2023 Exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

Kabir noted that Tajikistan is taking measures to attract foreign investors to develop industrial production in the country. He expressed hope for the contribution of Russian capital and specialists to building technology parks in Tajikistan, emphasising that this would deepen cooperation between the two countries.

During his visit to Tajikistan in March, RF Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted the potential for increasing investment by Russian companies in the country. Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov also noted the prospects for setting up industrial enterprises in Tajikistan, which would join production chains with Russia and other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
