Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of his Turkmen counterpart, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov. The trip is scheduled to take place on July 15-16, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
«A meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov in Ashgabat are scheduled,» the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan says.
It is planned to discuss the implementation of the top-level agreements reached in May 2023 following the state visit of Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan.
The President of Turkmenistan visited Dushanbe at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on May 10-11. The interlocutors discussed and identified the prospects for bringing Turkmenistan-Tajikistan cooperation to a new level using the existing potential.
