Prime Minister and Head of the President’s Administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov visited several healthcare institutions in Bishkek, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Zhaparov inspected the progress of construction work on the Perinatal Centre that will meet international standards and be stuffed with modern equipment. The Centre will provide medical care to women with pregnancy complications and newborns with pathologies. It will receive more than 100 patients. The grant of the KfW Development Bank (Germany) is used to build the Centre that is to be put into operation by the end of the year.
The Prime Minister noted that similar centres are to be built in Osh and Talas Regions. He stressed that the priority state tasks are to develop modern healthcare institutions, improve the quality of medical services and modernise the health sector.
Akylbek Zhaparov visited the children’s clinical emergency hospital in Bishkek to inspect the progress of reconstruction of the new surgery admission department.
