On July 11, Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kakhhorzoda met with EU Ambassador to Tajikistan Raimundas Karoblis. The parties signed the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union on the Technical Vocational Education and Training and Employment Budget Support Programme, the press office of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
In accordance with the document, it costs €30 million and provides solely grant financing.
The Programme aims to promote reforms in the public finance management system, ensure budgetary transparency and programme budgeting and provide the necessary support in technical/vocational education, labour market, employment and migration.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current state and prospects for expanding Tajikistan-EU cooperation in priority areas.
