On July 7, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the factory of Arvis Zelal Textile LLC that processes raw cotton and manufactures cotton yarn in Matcha district during his working visit to Sughd Region. It is the largest cotton spinning factory in Sughd Region, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
The President was informed that the enterprise will provide over 300 local residents with permanent jobs and decent wages. Women and girls make up the majority of employees at the large spinning factory that has additional capacity for another 200 jobs.
Arvis Zelal Textile is capable of processing 6,500 tonnes of raw cotton and manufacturing 5,400 tonnes cotton yarn of 16, 20, 24 and 30 sizes per year.
As reported, the resumption of manufacturing operations at the enterprise is a sustainable step to boost domestic production and create many new jobs.
