Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation in gas supply with Chairman of the Management Committee of PJSC Gazprom Alexey Miller during his working trip to St. Petersburg, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Kyrgyz politician said cooperation between the Republic and the Russian energy company continues to develop consistently.
«We have very strong relations in the energy sector and gas cooperation. We see great potential to boost this cooperation,» the Russian statesman noted, emphasising that Kyrgyzstan is one of the reliable partners of Gazprom.
A constructive exchange of views on further steps of bilateral mutually beneficial partnerships for the short term took place during the meeting. The participants identified aspects of cooperation in the implementation of socially significant projects in Kyrgyzstan by the Russian transnational energy company.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue constructive and fruitful efforts to expand mutually beneficial partnerships between Kyrgyzstan and Gazprom.
