On July 5, President Emomali Rahmon took part in the opening ceremony of the mining enterprise of TBEA Dushanbe Mining Industry LLC during his working visit to Ayni district of Sughd Region of Tajikistan. Rahmon highly evaluated the operation system and the mineral extraction and processing processes at the mining enterprise, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Tajik leader was informed that the enterprise that occupies a total area of 1,200 hectares extracts minerals on the Kumargi bolo and Duobai sharki deposits.
Its annual capacity is 900,000 tonnes of ore. The mining process based on advanced European technology includes four stages — mining, crushing, washing and sorting.
The President was also informed that 140 people work at the enterprise, including 100 citizens of Tajikistan and 40 citizens of China. The enterprise is expected to create over 500 jobs in the future. It is planned to build a gold and silver refining plant in the region in the near future.
