Kazakhstan sets up Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts with Russia and Uzbekistan

The three major mountain resorts — Rosa Khutor in Sochi, Shymbulak in Kazakhstan and Amirsoy in Uzbekistan — signed a memorandum on the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts headquartered in Almaty, the press office of the RF Government reports.

The document was signed at the Eurasian Congress, which was held in the Park of Science and Art on the Sirius Federal Territory in Sochi on the Black Sea coast. The Alliance will aim to promote seasonal mountain tourism among the three countries, exchange professional experience and develop common methodologies for creating new mountain tourist routes.

Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed to set up a common platform for promoting domestic tourism in the Eurasian space.

The Alliance will enable the three countries to enhance the joint development of Eurasian resorts and professional interaction, exchange best practices and achieve brand growth.

The project will also help preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the countries and promote a healthy lifestyle.
