Iran set to invest in medicine manufacturing in Kazakhstan

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan — Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin met with Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Alireza Peyman-Pak. It was noted that Iran is ready to invest in projects in Kazakhstan’s processing industry, the press office of the Government of Kazakhstan reports.

Peyman-Pak said Iranian investors and manufacturers are ready to invest in medicine manufacturing, the construction of a dairy plant and agricultural processing in Kazakhstan.

Serik Zhumangarin welcomed the decision of the Iranian counterparts, noting that he would conveyed all proposals to Kazakhstan’s business community for consideration.

The interlocutors discussed a draft joint project roadmap aimed at increasing bilateral trade up to $3 billion. The major projects cover the agricultural sector.

Serik Zhumangarin and Alireza Peyman-Pak held a meeting following the Kazakhstan-Iran Business Forum held in Astana.
